Enzym-Booster Digestive enzymes

Deficiencies in the body, usually caused by pancreas insufficiency, can be remedied using natural digestive enzymes.

Three enzymes are very important for digestion:

Protease - enzyme for digesting proteins

Lipase - enzyme for digesting fat

Amylase - enzyme for digesting carbohydrates

These enzymes are a part of the digestive fluids (pancreas juice) and are produced in the pancreas.

Both dogs and cats may suffer from pancreatitis or an insufficiency in the organ. In both cases, the body is no longer able to produce enough digestive enzymes. The result is that the body is no longer able to break down, i.e. make use of, the food it is given and therefore suffers from a lack of nutrients. A lack of digestive enzymes also results in weight loss.

Dogs and cats weighing up to 10 kg: 1 teaspoon per meal

Dogs weighing over 10kg: 2 teaspoons per meal

1 teaspoon (tsp) equals approx. 2.6 grams.

At the beginning of treatment, a higher dosage may be used (up to double; provided that the pet accepts the mixture of the product and its food) in order to make up for differences between different animals. Gradually reduce the amount used to the actual amount required. In severe cases mix with food 15 minutes before serving.

Feed your pet like this over a course lasting between 1 and 3 months. In the case of exocrine pancreas insufficiency, the product should be mixed into food throughout your pet’s lifetime.
